The wooden color and shape sorter is a set consisting of a colorful base and 36 matching discs. The discs have been designed so that one side is used for learning and sorting colors, and the other for learning and sorting shapes.

Distinguishing and naming colors and shapes is the initial stage of education for toddlers, providing them with a lot of joy and satisfaction. Furthermore, our sorter is perfect training for small hands and a wonderful tool that supports the development of important skills for the child.

The sorting set is complemented by 6 game suggestions. The developed scenarios include games dedicated to the youngest children, helping them memorize the names of colors and shapes. For older preschoolers, we suggest learning to count, classification training, left-hemisphere puzzles, and sequences. These games stimulate the left hemisphere of the brain, which is responsible for, among other things, speech, reading, and writing.

The color and shape sorter primarily supports: concentration, visual perception, eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, logical thinking, and speech and communication. Did you know that:

1. Concentration is the ability to focus attention on something specific. It can be an activity being performed, a specific object, or instructions spoken by a teacher. Concentration ensures the proper development of a child and is essential at every stage of their education.
2. Visual perception allows a child to know and understand the world around them and is also essential in further education for learning to read, write, and count. Initially, when playing with several elements with different pictures, a child must focus their vision on them and evaluate what they see, e.g., colors, shapes, similarities, and differences. This is an introduction to more advanced analysis, which forms the basis of logical thinking, among other things.
3. Eye-hand coordination enables precision of movement and is essential for daily activities – from self-feeding, dressing, drawing, or writing to physical activity. Eye-hand coordination additionally requires training of the child's hands and fingers, i.e., fine motor skills.
4. Fine motor skills are the precise movements of the hands and fingers, such as squeezing, stroking, kneading, and grasping. They are essential in many areas of a child's life and for achieving independence (e.g., brushing teeth, buttoning buttons, eating, writing).
5. Logical thinking allows for the analysis of situations, drawing conclusions, and developing possible solutions based on gathered information. It is one of the skills that can be difficult for a child to master. Why is it worth practicing logical thinking? Because it is necessary at every stage of our life.
6. Speech and effective communication are the foundation of daily family life and are indispensable in developing social competencies. They allow a child to express their thoughts and feelings and to understand what others want to convey.
