Mammals of Polish Forests is an educational game consisting of 15 pairs of wooden memory tiles featuring our original illustrations. The species depicted include both well-known animals like deer and wild boar, as well as those less frequently encountered, such as the lynx and the badger.

Forest education in your home? Why not?! Complementing the memory tiles are educational cards containing key information about each animal. Did you know that the mating season for red deer is called the "rut" (when the forest is filled with the loud roars of males trying to attract hinds and scare off rivals), or that the western barbastelle, a type of bat, uses echolocation during flight (emitting ultrasonic sounds inaudible to humans)? It’s time to discover the fascinating world of mammals and observe the species we present in their natural habitat.

Social and linguistic competencies, as well as the ability to learn, are very important for every young child. How can you play wisely with your child? When creating these game suggestions, we tried to ensure the toy grows with the child, making it attractive for both 3-year-olds and children already in school. Some scenarios make use of the educational cards.

The memory game helps develop primarily: concentration, memory, visual perception, eye-hand coordination, and speech and communication. Did you know that:

1. Concentration is the ability to focus one's attention on something specific. It can be a task, a particular object, or instructions given by a teacher. Attentional focus ensures a child's proper development and is essential at every stage of their education.
2. A young child's mind is like a sponge. Toddlers quickly absorb a large number of new words and information, allowing them to learn about their surrounding environment. For this process to run smoothly, constant memory training is necessary.
3. Visual perception allows a child to get to know and understand the world around them. It is also essential for further education in learning to read, write, and count. Initially, while playing with several pieces with different images, a child must focus their gaze on them and assess what they see, e.g., colors, shapes, similarities, and differences. This is an introduction to more advanced analysis, which forms, among other things, the foundation of logical thinking.
4. Eye-hand coordination enables the achievement of precise movements. It is necessary for daily activities – from eating independently, dressing, drawing, or writing to physical activity. Eye-hand coordination additionally requires training the child's hands and fingers, i.e., fine motor skills.
5. Speech and effective communication are the foundation of daily family life and are irreplaceable in developing social competencies. They allow a child to express their thoughts and feelings and to understand what others wish to convey.
